MassReconnect gives you the incredible opportunity to pursue a college degree or certificate without financial barriers. Whether you're new to college or returning, our comprehensive support system is here to guide you towards a brighter future.

Qualification Criteria for Your Free College Experience:

• Be at least 25 years old on the first day of classes.
• Have established permanent legal residency in Massachusetts for a minimum of one year prior to the start of the enrolled term.
• Have not previously received an associate or bachelor’s degree or the equivalent.
• Enroll in a minimum of six credits per semester within an approved program of study leading to an associate degree or certificate.
• Maintain a satisfactory academic progress in accordance with the college's requirements.
• Complete the current year's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

MassEducate is coming to make college free for EVERYONE!

You may have heard the news that the proposed MassEducate program could bring universal, free community college access to everyone in Massachusetts. This program is on its way and there’s two important steps you can take to be ready for the Fall 2024 semester:

Apply to 4Cs (it’s free!) and complete your FAFSA (also free!).

If/when MassEducate passes this Summer, that will prepare you to immediately take advantage of FREE community college, regardless of your age. So get your application and FAFSA done so you don’t wind up going to a 4-year and paying way more than you would by attending 4Cs for free.
